At Westport Baptist:We highlight the truths of the Gospel in worship through drama, video and music

Westport Baptist Church invites you to become a part of this vibrant and joyful body of believers in the life and work of Christ. During the service, our Church and Pastor invites anyone present to join. Below are the ways you may become part of this church.

The Bible teaches that a person is saved only by believing in Jesus Christ as Lord (John 3:16). To believe in Christ is to confess your sin, turn from your sin to Christ, and enter the lifelong journey of faith and fellowship with Christ. The Bible teaches that a believer's confession should be public (Matt. 10:32-33). The opportunity for commitment gives you an opportunity to publicly accept and confess Christ as Lord, and obey His example of believer's baptism by immersion.

If your membership is with another church, and you wish to unite with the body of Christ at Westport, you are welcome to join on the promise of a letter transferring your membership from your previous church.

If you became a follower of Jesus and joined another church, but you have lost your affiliation with a church either through the church disbanding, or your having joined another denomination, if you feel God's leadership to be a member of this fellowship, your public statement of salvation and baptism will be sufficient.
